Located in Peebles, 25 miles south of Edinburgh, D & H Farmer Chartered Architects has been working with private and commercial clients throughout the Borders and central Scotland since 1997. We offer a range of bespoke architectural services, tailored to the requirements of the individual client.

Husband and wife team, David and Helen Farmer formed the practice in 1997. Bringing separate but complimentary skills to the partnership, our clients benefit from the services of a close knit team bringing energy and focus to their project.
Helen C Farmer

Our areas of expertise centre on our broad experience in the design of individual one-off houses in rural and small-town locations. We aim to accommodate contemporary family life in homes that complement and reflect their environment. The same influence is also brought to our work in alterations and extensions to existing homes.
We also have experience of the conversion of redundant agricultural buildings to new commercial and domestic uses; Restaurant and Public House conversions and upgrading and work in the Care Home sector.
RIBA Chartered Practice
The principals in D & H Farmer Chartered Architects are chartered members of the Royal Institute of British Architects. The practice itself is a Chartered Practice.

RIAS Chartered Practice
We also hold chartered memberships of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland which supports the profession within the specific requirements of Scottish law and Scottish government and local authority policies.
